Sopris Valuation founder and real estate appraiser, Michael Durant brings over 20 years of full time appraisal experience to the business he established in Carbondale Colorado. He is a certified general appraiser in the State of Colorado. Respected for his expertise and long-term local knowledge, particularly in the realm of residential appraisal, Michael consistently provides quality information and reliable service to his loyal base of customers.
Michael is also active in the community and served on the Planning & Zoning Commission in the Town of Carbondale for 10 years; including 5 years as Chair of the Commission. During his tenure, he developed in-depth knowledge of land use, zoning and played a key role in updating the Town's Comprehensive Plan and Unified Development Code. When not working, you will find him and his wife on a nearby golf course or skiing in Snowmass.
